Upper School Math
Boys’ Latin’s upper school seeks a full-time math educator beginning in August of 2026. The ideal candidates will be able to teach Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry, with the ability to teach higher levels of math a plus. Successful candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm for working with boys and a passion for their subject matter, while fostering an engaging, supportive classroom environment that emphasizes collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Additional responsibilities include serving as an academic advisor to a group of upper school students and actively contributing to school life through extracurricular activities such as clubs, athletics, or student organizations.
The successful applicant will have at least three years of experience teaching math and hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a master’s degree is preferred. A strong understanding of best practices in math instruction, instructional technologies, and effective pedagogical techniques for boys is highly valued. The role requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment and an appreciation for the benefits of single-sex education. Upper School History
The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, an all-boys’ independent school, seeks an energetic, full-time Upper School History teacher to begin in August for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful applicant will teach up to five sections of history (specifically World History 1, World History 2, and United States History), serve as an advisor to upper school students, and be actively involved in all facets of school life. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in history or a related subject and at least three years of experience teaching upper school history. While we consider all applications, we seek a candidate with a master’s degree in history, knowledge of best instructional practices, instructional technologies, and pedagogical techniques specifically designed for adolescent boys, and an appreciation for single-sex education.
Salary is commensurate with experience, years of teaching, and educational qualifications. The salary range for this position is $40,000-$70,000. Payroll and Benefits Associate
The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, an independent K–12 boys’ school, is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Associate to start in spring 2026. This position will be responsible for administering payroll, managing employee benefits, and supporting a range of human resources functions, including verifying payroll and tax reports, reconciling benefits billing, and assisting the finance department in various audits.
Qualified candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least three years of relevant experience. The ideal applicant will be detail oriented and demonstrate strong organizational skills, along with solid critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Experience with payroll and HRIS administration is required, as is proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google drive, and database systems. Experience with Paycom is highly preferred. The ability to handle confidential information with discretion is essential.
The salary range for this position starts at $50,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Lower School Dean of Students
Position Overview
The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, an independent K-12 boys’ school, seeks an enthusiastic Dean of Students to begin in August 2026. The Dean of Students, Lower School is a 10-month administrative position reporting to the Head of Lower School. The Dean is responsible for fostering a positive, structured, and supportive student environment that promotes strong character, responsible behavior, and social-emotional growth. This role serves as the primary leader for student life and culture in the Lower School and works closely with faculty, students, and families to uphold community standards. Along with the responsibilities outlined below, the Dean would be responsible for teaching up to two classes per day as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
Student Culture & Community Leadership
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that supports student safety, well-being, and belonging
- Develop and uphold clear expectations for student behavior aligned with school values
- Serve as a visible and accessible presence throughout the school day
Student Discipline & Behavior Support
- Lead the management of student behavior, including addressing disciplinary issues in a fair, consistent, and educational manner
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and faculty regarding behavioral expectations and outcomes
- Partner with teachers and families to develop and implement behavior support plans when needed
Programs & Student Life
- Oversee and coordinate the Lower School House System to promote community, leadership, and positive behavior
- Plan and manage Lower School clubs and after-school programs
- Support student leadership opportunities and community-building activities
Faculty Collaboration & Support
- Serve as a resource to teachers on classroom management and student behavior strategies
- Collaborate with faculty to support students’ social-emotional development
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of Lower School faculty
Family Communication
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with families
- Serve as a key point of contact for parent concerns related to student behavior and well-being
Operations & Leadership Support
- Support the Head of Lower School in maintaining smooth daily operations
- Serve in a leadership capacity when the Head of Lower School is unavailable
Admissions & School Community
- Serve on the Lower School Admissions Committee
- Participate in and support admissions and community events

Marketing and Communications Coordinator
The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, an all-boys independent K-12 school, is looking for a versatile and energetic Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This 12 month position will be responsible for executing day-to-day marketing and communications initiatives that support Boys’ Latin’s strategic goals. Working closely with departments across campus, particularly admissions and development, this role plays a central part in telling the Boys’ Latin story through compelling visual and digital content.
The coordinator will lead the creation, scheduling and management of social media content across platforms and must be skilled in photography, graphic design, and digital content production. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential. The position requires the ability to walk around campus, carrying a camera and equipment as needed. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring flexibility and adaptability as priorities shift to meet the needs of the institution.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in communications, marketing, graphic design or a related field, with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience creating, scheduling and managing social media content across multiple platforms
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, audience engagement and platform best practices
- Excellent photography skills, graphic design experience, and a working knowledge of website management is required
Functions and Responsibilities
- Manage social media platforms, ensuring content reflects campus life, the School’s values and brand voice.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media content calendar, including post creation, scheduling and platform management.
- Serve as the primary photographer for day-to-day campus life, events and School initiatives, while maintaining an organized photo library.

Operations Coordinator
Under the direction of the Director of Security and Operations, the Operations Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of school-wide events, alumni activities, corporate sponsorship initiatives, facility rentals, and auxiliary programming for the Boys’ Latin School of Maryland. This fast-paced, 12 month position, works collaboratively with administrators, faculty, alumni, donors, and community partners to ensure the successful implementation of campus events and operational programs.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field with 1-3 years’ experience in an operations, event planning, or fundraising role. Excellent attention to detail and written and verbal communications are critical to the success of the role, as is the ability to interact effectively and efficiently across departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the execution of alumni programs, reunions, and fundraising events in partnership with the Alumni Association and school leadership.
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors and community partners.
- Assist in identifying and soliciting prospective corporate sponsorship opportunities.
- Help manage sponsorship agreements, event participation, and scoreboard advertising programs.
- Assist with facility rental planning, scheduling, and preparation of rental agreements and contracts.
- Coordinate logistics for school-wide events and activities, including setup, communication, and operational support.
- Provide professional customer service and communications to alumni, donors, families, vendors, and community members.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- College degree in related field with 1-3 years’ work experience.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and carry projects from initiation through completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A thorough understanding of database software, preferably Raiser’s Edge, and computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- The role requires the ability to navigate campus easily, including steps, stadium, and school buildings, with the ability to lift 30-50lbs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass background checks required to work in a school setting.

Facilities Maintenance Technician
Boys’ Latin School of Maryland is seeking an energetic and adaptable Facilities and Maintenance Technician to begin immediately. This staff position is responsible for the daily upkeep and operation of campus buildings and grounds, including the general maintenance and repair of the school’s internal and external infrastructure. The Facilities and Maintenance Technician will identify maintenance issues and perform repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, lighting, and exterior grounds maintenance.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of two years of experience in a facilities, maintenance or building technician role are required
- Basic working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting, concrete, and general repair procedures
- The ability to safely handle and operate building equipment and tools
- Working knowledge and understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions for the proper execution and usage of tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions as well as operating manuals
- Ability to navigate campus, including steps, stadium, and school buildings, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass background checks required to work in a school setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs general maintenance throughout the facility
- Ensure that all repairs and inspections meet recognized standards and customer expectations by maintaining quality procedures
- Respond to non-emergency and emergency repair and/or maintenance requests
- Stay current on all applicable building codes and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance and service requests
- Responsible for daily clean-up of Maintenance Shop and assist in the maintenance of materials and supplies
