School Leadership
On behalf of the leadership team, WELCOME TO BOYS’ LATIN. AS YOU EXPLORE BOYS’ LATIN, WE HOPE YOU WILL LEARN WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW: THAT IT IS OUR PEOPLE WHO DEFINE OUR SCHOOL. OUR STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF, ALUMNI, FAMILIES AND FRIENDS MAKE OUR COMMUNITY SO SPECIAL.

Headmaster Chris Post
At Boys’ Latin we are about community, and Headmaster Chris Post leads by example. Whether he is attending a sporting event, crossing the bridge to the dining hall or handing out noisemakers to lower school boys on Halloween, Mr. Post is engaged with the students. He not only knows their names, but he knows what subjects they like, how they spend their time outside of school or the results of their last cross country meet. And this sets the tone for the campus and the community. You see, at Boys’ Latin each and every one of our students is known -- for who he is today, and all he will be tomorrow.
Chris Post began his term as headmaster of The Boys' Latin School of Maryland on July 1, 2008. Chris earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and his master's degree from Boston University, both in history. He has worked at a number of independent schools including The Knox School in St. James, NY, Heights School in Potomac, MD and the Kiski School in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania. Prior to coming to Boys’ Latin he served as the Principal of Loyola Blakefield in Towson, Maryland. Throughout his career, he has taught English and history including AP European and AP US History and Government. He has also coached baseball, football and wrestling, ran an all-boys dorm, worked in admissions, and served in various administrative capacities.
