Lower School Robotics

Robotics begins in Grade 3 with a co-curricular program for all students that includes
participation in the annual FIRST Lego League (FLL) Jr. Challenge. The afterschool club for Grades 4 and 5 includes more levels of exploration and competition and meet in a dedicated lower school Robotics Lab. Students in grades 3-5 also participate in BL-hosted division qualifier “RoboQuake on Lake” and other local competitions. Younger students enjoy division-wide Hour of Code events and curricular programming introductions with LEGO NXT robotics and other early-coding programs.
