APPLICATION AND FINANCIAL AID DEADLINES
Day Student:
- Admissions Application– December 15

Boarding Student:
- Application - January 15

- Notification Date - by March 10

upper school
Applicants are encouraged, but not required to shadow in our upper school. Once you complete your application, you will have access to our online portal to upload the documents listed below.
- Submit your BL Application.
- Schedule a shadow day for your son and a parent/guardian and student interview by clicking here.
- Through our online portal, complete the following:
- Send a transcript request form to your son’s current school (We require current and prior year report cards).
- Send confidential Common Referral Forms to your son’s English and math teachers.
- Complete or submit admissions testing (Students applying to our upper school must take the ISEE, SSAT, PSAT or HSPT)
- Complete the student essay prompt in the application portal.
middle school
An application is encouraged, but not required to shadow in our middle school. Once you complete your application, you will have access to our online portal to upload the documents listed below.
- Submit your BL Application.
- Schedule a shadow day for your son and a parent and student interview by clicking here.
- Through our online portal, complete the following:
- Send a transcript request form to your son’s current school (We require both current and prior year report cards).
- Send confidential Common Referral Forms to your son’s English and math teachers.
- Complete or submit admissions testing
- Students applying to middle school must take the ISEE test or submit test results from standardized testing, MAP, ERB, etc., taken within the last 12 months.
- Complete the student essay prompt in the application portal.
LOWER SCHOOL
Once you complete the application, you will have access to our online portal to upload the required documents.
Grades K-2
- Submit your BL Application.
- Schedule a tour and admissions testing with Missy Fanshaw, at mfanshaw@boyslatinmd.com.

Applicants are required to take the Early Readiness Assessment. The testing is done in a part individual/part group setting at Boys' Latin. Assessment dates available after October 21st.

We will offer a separate date in January 2025 for K-2nd grade applicants to participate in a fun activity.

- Submit prior and current report cards through our Application Portal
- Ask your son’s current teacher to complete and submit the confidential Common Referral Form - available through our Application Portal
Grades 2-5
- Submit your BL Application.
- Schedule a tour and shadow day for your son with Missy Fanshaw, at mfanshaw@boyslatinmd.com.
- Submit or schedule admissions testing
- Students can submit test results from MCAP, MAP or ERB testing completed in the last 12 months. Otherwise, they will need to take the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT), reading comprehension and math portion of the Stanford Achievement Test and provide a writing sample at Boys’ Latin.
- Submit prior and current report cards through our Application Portal
- Ask your son’s current teacher to complete and submit the confidential Common Referral Form - available through our application portal
