"Boys are taught in an environment where it is small. But they are taught to go out and have big experiences."
Community
Our K-12 family is small by design, because nearly two centuries of all-boys education has taught us that a close-knit community builds a foundation of confidence. Of compassion. Of curiosity. And of character.
From the moment you walk on campus you know you’re part of a family. The Laker family. Students, parents, faculty and staff, alumni, grandparents and friends of the School - all bound by the same core values of courage, compassion, and integrity.
We are #ONEBL!
Parents discuss the power of our small school
Supported by this lifelong caring community you will build the confidence to take on the world.
Every day you will see how boys care for one other. You will form connections with your teachers and see how they are here to help you. You will witness alumni returning to campus and hear them call BL their home away from home. Below are only a few examples of the bonds that are formed at Boys’ Latin.
LAKER BUDDIES
Every day you will build bonds and learn compassion for others. As a lower school student you might have a Laker Buddy. As an upper school student you might choose to be a Laker Buddy. Students helping students, and developing relationships that last a lifetime.
Graduation
Your graduation from Boys’ Latin is about you. It is reflective of our mission and our values. There are no speakers other than Headmaster Chris Post, who will give remarks on each and every boy. His comments will have been written with the help of the community and will celebrate your journey on Lake Avenue.
Alumni Lakers for Life
The bonds you build with students and faculty are strong. Nowhere is this more evident than in the fact that our alumni return to campus often, not just for sporting events or reunions, but to share events in their lives. Without our alumni, we would not be the school that we are today.
