Guest Artist and Student-Teacher Brings Talent to BL

Guest Artist and Student-Teacher Brings Talent to BL

The Smith Hall Gallery is open and is currently showcasing art by our guest artist and student-teacher, Victoria Cho, and selected artwork by our 4th and 5th grade students.

Victoria is currently finishing her Master of Arts in Teaching degree at MICA, where she expects to receive her master’s degree in May of 2023 in teaching art to students K-12. She joined the Boys’ Latin lower school art classroom in January to complete her elementary student-teaching placement. She has been developing and teaching art units for all K-5 art classes under the mentorship of Mrs. Mogliazzi, our lower school fine arts teacher. The students have been learning about diverse groups of artists and experimenting with various media, including printmaking, screen printing, paper making and clay.

In the course of her studies, Victoria has taught students K-12 across Baltimore County, and she has acquired experience working as an educator at the National Gallery of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Renwick Gallery.
