Lincoln Wolff '27 Finishes Among Top Competitors in International Trading Competition

This spring, Boys' Latin rising junior Lincoln Wolff '27 earned national recognition after placing ninth out of more than 1,000 students in the 2026 Stevens Trading Day competition hosted by the School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology.

The international competition began with a three-week virtual stock trading challenge in which participants managed simulated investment portfolios while learning core investing concepts. Only the top 25 students advanced to the live championship held on Stevens' campus in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Lincoln finished among the top 20 in the preliminary round, earning an invitation to the finals, where competitors spent two hours trading in the university's Hanlon Financial Systems Center using the same Bloomberg terminals and technology utilized by Stevens finance and business students. He ultimately placed ninth overall, earning a Top 0.1% Finisher certificate.

Lincoln credits his interest in investing to Boys' Latin's Finance Club, which he joined at the beginning of the school year.

"I never thought I'd be competing in an international trading competition at the start of the school year," he said. "My mentors in the Finance Club and my teachers encouraged me to give it a try, and it ended up being an incredible experience."

For Lincoln, the competition offered more than just a chance to test his investing skills. It also gave him a glimpse into the future.

"It was awesome to experience the same equipment and environment used by finance and business majors in college," he said. "That's what I hope to study, and this experience taught me to stay curious and be willing to try new things."

Congratulations to Lincoln on this outstanding accomplishment and for representing Boys' Latin on an international stage.
