Ryan Hopkins Appointed Athletic Director at Boys’ Latin School

Boys’ Latin is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Hopkins as athletic director, effective immediately.

Ryan brings extensive experience in independent school athletics and leadership, having served this year as interim athletic director. He previously held roles as assistant head of the middle school and middle school athletic director and has taught and coached at both the upper and middle school levels. His work reflects a deep understanding of how athletics support student development, leadership and character formation at an all-boys school.

During his time as interim athletic director, Ryan focused on strengthening athletic programs and systems to ensure a consistent, engaging experience for Boys’ Latin student-athletes, coaches and families. He increased communication with the community, formalized senior athlete recognition, and launched a captains council that connects upper school team leaders with lower school students across divisions.

Ryan’s vision emphasizes integrating athletics into the everyday life of the School, reinforcing the role sports play in supporting Boys’ Latin’s mission and values. His leadership prioritizes the holistic growth of students — supporting, challenging and nurturing boys while mentoring coaches who model the same commitment.
