Music brings out the best in us. Discover your best through music at Boys’ Latin.

Tap into your creativity and self-expression through our classroom musical explorations and an extensive instrumental and vocal training and group performance program. Play and sing with confidence and courage, surrounded by an understanding community of fellow musicians.

Study musical genres from around the world and across the centuries and play a variety of instruments in class, sing in our choirs or choose private lessons in one of 11 instruments. Woven into each musical adventure is a focus on reading music. We go a step further, though, and celebrate your bravery and growing self-confidence with improvisation and original compositions beginning in Kindergarten.
Lower School Music

Lower school students explore various musical genres and artists from around the world and an array of instruments using the Dalcroze, Orff, and Kodaly methods. K-5 students learn to read music and perform on recorders, mini-steel drums, xylophones, ukuleles, and percussion instruments from around the globe.
Middle School Music

In middle school,  6th grade, our students focus on voice, 7th grade, piano; and 8th grade, hand chimes. The boys can also participate in our middle school choir or jazz ensemble, both of which offer collaborative practice and performance opportunities, including our winter and spring concerts.
Upper School Music

Upper school musicians dive deeper into their chosen instrument or voice, and can participate in chorus, jazz ensemble or our jazz workshop that perform at annual school concerts, alumni events, for local organizations, or at an impromptu "mini-concert" during lunch period.
