Teaching At BL:
Ms. Pierce loves unlocking a student's self-confidence and helping him to go further, grasp ideas, and continue to grow. Aside from the lifelong friendships and brotherhood that develops among the boys, what she loves most about Boys' Latin is the flexibility and creative thinking that occurs every day. "We find ways to support each student so he can reach his full potential, even when that means overcoming some bumps in the road."

What's More:
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Pierce enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her son.  In addition, she actively supports BL's collaboration with Sarah's Hope, an emergency shelter for homeless families. She's also passionate about the environment and likes to spend time both gardening and composting. For her, there's nothing quite like growing a worm farm with lower schoolers out of recycled materials. She says, "Boys can really get into that!"
