BL Varsity Basketball
The Boys' Latin varsity basketball team has been on a roll. On Friday evening, January 3, in a critical MIAA "A" Conference game against Mt. St. Joe, BL defeated the number 3 ranked Gaels, 66- 63, in overtime. Lorenzo Donadio '20 made a long buzzer-beater to tie the game and send it into overtime. In the overtime period, Lorenzo made a 3-pointer to start the period, and Will Spencer '21 also hit an important shot from beyond the arc. Donadio finished with a game-high 34 points. Kendall Walker '20 added 16 points to the win, BL's second in a row over the Gaels.  

The following day BL continued defeating top fifteen teams with a 70-61 win over 11th ranked Mervo. Lorenzo Donadio continued his torrid pace with 28 points with Walker again adding 16 points. Tre Green '22 pitched in with 14 points. The Lakers were 16-17 from the foul line.

The team went on to defeat Pikesville High School, 71-58, and MIAA “A” conference opponent McDonogh, 64-56. The victory over McDonogh was a genuine team effort; the game’s high scorers were Will Spencer ‘21 with 15 points, and Tre Green ‘22 added 13 points.
