MONDAY NIGHT COLLEGE TALK @ BL

When BL began distance learning in March, the juniors were gearing up their college search, and many were planning to visits over spring break.  When colleges closed their campuses, the BL College Counseling team turned to our alumni network for help and launched Monday Night College Talk @BL!

Monday Night College Talk became a weekly Zoom panel where alumni Lakers shared insights on the admissions process and their college experience with BL juniors; the program kicked off on April 20 with alumni from the University of Maryland. It continued every Monday night throughout the spring with a variety of student panels, including students from urban campuses, mid-Atlantic colleges, and universities far from Lake Avenue, in addition to students studying engineering and computer science.

Alumni were able to connect with current students in meaningful ways, and students could gather important insights regarding a variety of colleges and universities. Our college counseling team will continue to support our boys as they navigate the college process.  We would like to send a special thank you to all our alumni who gave of their time! It’s always a great day to be a Laker.
