Event Information

Please join us on Thursday, February 7th, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm in the Alumni House for our 50th Anniversary Celebration of Boys’ Latin Black Alumni. The IDEA Committee's first event will honor current BL Board Member, and BL’s first black alumnus, Dr. Stephen Wright ‘69. The event will also include a special thank you to French teacher, Madame Terry Howell, one of the first teachers of color at Boys' Latin, who has been here for over 35 years!

There will be no charge for this event hosted in the Alumni House, but attendees must be 21 or older. The event will include heavy hor d'oeuvres, open bar, awards, and more!

Alumni I.D.E.A. Committee

Mission Statement: The purpose of the Alumni I.D.E.A. Committee is to strengthen the involvement and engagement of minority alumni, to provide support to current underrepresented students, and to enhance and support an accepting campus culture.

Vision Statement: The Alumni I.D.E.A. Committee will promote a genuine sense of belonging for all members of the Boys’ Latin community by leveraging the diversity of thought, life experiences and cultural identities to foster a more inclusive learning environment. We will advance the importance of having a diverse student body, staff and faculty that supports academic excellence and scholarship that benefit our global citizenry.
