Teaching At BL:
Mrs. Hurley likes teaching third grade because the boys are of an age where their curiosity keeps them engaged and because "it is a great transition year between the primary and intermediate grades." While she enjoys teaching all subjects, reading is a favorite because it is a personal passion. "I love reading for pleasure and I want to instill that in my students," Mrs. Hurley says.

What's More:
Mrs. Hurley is married with three children. Both of her sons, Ryan and Tommy, are Upper School students at BL and her daughter, Caitlin, is a student at Bryn Mawr. In addition to spending time with her family, Mrs. Hurley loves to read, travel and watch TV. "No one would guess my favorite TV show is The Walking Dead!" she says.
