Teaching At BL:
Mrs. Anderson loves music and it's this passion that she's determined to share with her students. As she likes to say, "If you share a passion, the details easily follow." While she enjoys teaching boys of all ages, she has a particular fondness for teaching middle school. "The boys are inquisitive and comical, but mostly, they are a wide open slate for filling up with all that they discover."
Mrs. Anderson started BL STOMP about five years ago to offer another outlet for the students' artistic creativity as the routines the students perform are student-created and produced.

Recently, Mrs. Anderson started an a capella choir in the Middle School.

What's More:
Outside of BL music classes, Mrs. Anderson teaches private piano and voice lessons. She is also a weekend musician, serving as the music director and organist at her church, Glyndon United Methodist Church. In addition to volunteering at her church's soup kitchen, Mrs. Anderson also helps to support the Timber Grove Elementary clothing drive.

Music, for Mrs. Anderson, is a lifelong love. She began piano lessons at age 6, and switched to organ at age 15. If she's not home reading up on music history, it's likely she's out attending a concert, as her interests in genres span a wide gamut, from country and rock to blues and jazz. Besides music, her interests include gardening, watching football and attending car shows, where she loves to check out antique and muscle cars.

Her favorite TV show? Touched By An Angel reruns. But she's also quick to point out that The Godfather is "the best movie of all time."
