Teaching At BL:
It is Mrs. Digges belief that teaching art is limitless because art touches every facet of human life. Art, and more specifically, teaching art is her passion and true calling and yet, "developing meaningful relationships has been my greatest strength as a teacher. Celebrating student differences and allowing them to be themselves, while pushing them to dig deeper and pull out thoughts and symbols to make their artwork more meaningful."

Mrs. Digges works to create a safe, challenging and supportive environment that emboldens the boys to take risks and problem solve in order to reach their full potential.

Armed with a psychology degree as well as an art and design degree. Mrs. Digges believes in using art as catharsis, storytelling, and an expression of one's own thoughts. Through this, art has always been playful and experimental, utilizing non-traditional mediums and processes to further push the concept and connect on a deeper level.

It is her goal that, by the end of their senior year, her students are armed with Leonardo's tools of innovation, Kahlo's talent for introspection, Dali's sense of style, Michelangelo's spirit of perseverance, and a deeper sense of who they are, what they believe, and who they want to become.

What's More:
Mrs. Digges is a proud mom of 4 children (Liam, Quinn, Gaelan and Onora) She and her husband purchased a row home in Federal Hill in 2006, which they've since put their hearts into lovingly rehabbing, room by room. Her home is now in a state of perpetual motion with constant bustle and activity. In addition to working on inventions, origami, pottery, painting and other art projects with her children, Mrs. Digges and her family like to camp, hike and explore Baltimore City and all of its charm.
