Teaching At BL:I love teaching at Boys' Latin because we foster a commitment to teaching the individual boy, and this affords me the opportunity to form lasting relationships. By knowing what each boy values, I can better help him develop himself as a writer, thinker, and citizen of the world. For my Writing Process class, students are required to shadow an individual outside of our community for the day. This real world experience helps students narrow their interests and escape their comfort zones.
What's More:I love travel, hiking, and especially visiting my birthplace of Scotland. I also relish watching my sons play baseball, or taking in an Orioles game. I enjoy reading and writing creatively. I also do a great deal of outside reading regarding boys' learning and best teaching practices.
