Teaching At BL:
Mr. McDonald takes great pride in his student-centric approach to teaching. His classroom is filled with lively discussion and hands-on research-based assignments. In addition to individual work, he further engages students by creating a cooperative, communal atmosphere in tandem with significant and meaningful implementation of technology. Ultimately, Mr. McDonald strives to expose his students to new perspectives and cultures, challenging them to think outside of themselves and their immediate surroundings to become more well-rounded students and young men.

What's More:
A proud graduate of Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut, Mr. McDonald understands the advantages of an all boys' education. He is a commuter, traveling to and from Pennsylvania each day, where he lives with his wife and his dog, Kaylee. He loves music, live concerts and cheering for Baltimore's home teams, the Ravens and the Orioles. He's also a Florida Gators fan, a passion he probably picked up during his many travels with friends and family. Mr. McDonald also enjoys a good, thought-provoking conversation, and good TV, never too busy to discuss the finer points of quality HBO programming or Lost.
