If you're a Laker parent or guardian, you're automatically a member of the Boys' Latin Parents' Association. We invite you to get involved in our vibrant, welcoming community of caring volunteers. There's no better way to become familiar with campus, connect with Laker parents, watch our school "in action," and serve the interests of BL parents, students, faculty, and staff.
From taking a Board position, to chairing an event, to volunteering just once a year, we've got a role for every interested member. It's easy to get involved:
- In August, the Volunteerism Committee will send a form to all parents with a list of volunteer opportunities. Simply fill out yours and return it to school.
- Or express your interest at any time by reaching out to a PA officer, committee chairperson, or Class Representative.
Twice a year -- in November and April -- we hold a general Association meeting with a special speaker or event of interest to the general parent body. The spring meeting also includes the election of officers for the coming year. Additionally, the Association's Board meets as a body once a month, traditionally on the second Tuesday (click here for the school calendar). These meetings are open to all parents.
The Board is made up of the Executive Committee, which includes all the officers and the past President, as well as the Fundraising Coordinator, the representative to The Parent Network of Baltimore, the division coordinators, and the committee chairs. Get to know more about us, below.
