The philanthropic support of our community has been central to Boys' Latin's 175-year history. It was through the generosity of alumni, parents and friends that Boys' Latin was able to remain open, moving from Brevard Street in 1960, when the city claimed the School's property through eminent domain.
It is through that same spirit of generosity that a bridge was built 25 years ago to connect our north and south sides of campus. Since then significant new buildings and renovations have occurred including the additions of Ehrhardt Hall (lower school), the Gelston Athletic Center, the Alumni House, Hopkins Hall and Sinclair Hall (upper school), the Iglehart Center, the new Middle School and the list goes on.
Contributions from generations of BL supporters have added, and continue to add, immeasurably to the BL experience. They help do so much: to provide compensation for our exceptional faculty; allow for the maintenance of our beautiful campus; offer tuition assistance for deserving students; and ensure that we have the means to offer all our students unparalleled educational experiences.
There are many ways to give to Boys' Latin. The job of our Advancement Team is to present you with the options and the best fit for the kind of gift you would like to make. Gifts over $100 are recognized through the following giving clubs:
No matter what type of gift you might be considering, I encourage you to talk with us. And thank you once again for your exceptional generosity.
